1. Product Introduction
Esters is a kind of light yellow oily paste with typical fatty odor and taste at ambient temperature, and it will turn to be clear oil above 50ºC/122°F. It is obtained by esterification of free plant sterols with fatty acids.

3. Product Feature and Application
In 1999, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has been approved the foods added to phytosterol and phytosterol ester can use "healthful" labels.
In 2010, phytosterol and phytosterol esters were allowed to be added to food as new resource foods (Food safety comprehensive coordination and Health Supervision Bureau of the Ministry of health of People's Republic of China, 2010 Third New Resources Food Bulletin).
Phytosterol have been proved for the following food applications: vegetable oils, vegetable butter, margarine, dairy products, vegetable protein drinks, condiments, salad dressing, mayonnaise, juice,macaroni, noodles and vegetarian cereals and etc.
