Organic Beta Carotene Oil is a reddish-brown liquid and is manufactured by micronization technology. The micronized beta-carotene crystals are evenly dispersed in sunflower oil. DL-Alpha-Tocopherol is added as antioxidant. The beta-carotene crystal is obtained by a fermentation process using a mixed culture of the two sexual mating types(+) and (-) of natural strains of the fungus Blakeslea Trispora. The crystallised products consist mainly of trans beta-carotene. Used as a coloring agent or nutrient supplement for oil-based foods like margarine and soft capsule preparations.
