Advantages of strains
Since the establishment of the molecule laboratory in 2012, HSF has been committed to strain screening and bio-fermentation technology. From 218 original strains, HSF successfully isolated the high-DHA-producing Schizochytrium HSc-01.
The Schizochytrium selected by HSF from the laboratory has stable batch growth, uniform and full bacterial color, and a total DHA content of up to 70%.

Advantages of fermentation technology
While screening strains, the HSF team also continues to accumulate fermentation technology and production experience in experiments.
During production, the algae species need to be placed in a culture medium containing carbohydrates, proteins, and a variety of trace elements for fermentation and cultivation and gradually transferred to primary, secondary, and tertiary fermentation tanks for cultivation. During the cultivation process, in addition to the need to input culture medium and control various environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, oxygen, and light, the entire operation needs to be carried out in a fully closed and sterile environment. Each process uses the most advanced equipment currently available, and no chemical solvents are added throughout the process, and there is no risk of chemical pollution residues. It is a biosynthetic, environmentally friendly, and sustainable DHA.

Advantages of product
As a professional functional lipid producer in China, HSF has a solid foundation in the production of functional lipids, from natural vitamin E and plant sterol extraction, and separation to esterification. While extracting DHA contained in Schizochytrium, HSF protects the functional structure of DHA algae oil to the maximum extent, minimizes the impact of aldehydes and ketones in DHA algae oil on flavor, and minimizes the residues in the product and the chemical reactions produced. The functional oil refining technology has a profound foundation, the oil is clear, and the product is pure.

Functions of DHA
DHA is an important fatty acid in the human body. It is a polyunsaturated fatty acid. The content of DHA is as high as 20% in the human cerebral cortex, and the largest proportion in the retina of the eye is about 50%. Primary Source of DHA

Currently, the main sources of DHA are fish oil and algal oil. DHA exists in the form of ethyl esters in fish oil and in the form of triglycerides in algal oil. Human absorption experiments show that the absorption rate of triglyceride type DHA in the human body is 300% of that of ethyl ester type. Compared with ethyl ester type (fish oil), triglyceride type DHA (algal oil) has great advantages in metabolic absorption rate, bioavailability, stability, and safety in the human body.
