Vitamin E occurs naturally in 8 different forms: four tocopherols (alpha, beta, gamma, delta tocopherols) and four tocotrienols (alpha, beta, gamma, delta tocotrienols). Tocopherols are generally found in soybean oil and peanut oil, and tocotrienols are generally found in rice bran oil and palm oil.

Functions

Gamma Tocopherol Oil is a fat-soluble vitamin and is highly non-polar. The structure-activity relationship study of vitamin E shows that the hydroxyl group in the molecule is an active group and must be in the para position with the heterocyclic atom. The more methyl groups on the benzene ring, the stronger the activity, and shortening or removing the side chain in the molecule will reduce or disappear the activity.
