Allulose powder, also known as Allulose, D-allulose or D-Psicose, is a naturally occurring rare monosaccharide, which is the epimer of the 3rd carbon of fructose (D-fructose), and exists in small amounts in raisins, figs, wheat, etc. The taste composition of D-allulose is highly similar to that of sucrose. Functions of Allulose
1. Low energy value
The sweetness of psicose powder is about 70% of that of sucrose, but the calories are much lower than that of sucrose, only one-tenth of that of sucrose.
2. High safety
Allulose is considered by European and American scholars to be the best substitute for erythritol, because the sweetness of the two is similar, and it is safer than sugar alcohol. Allulose had no effect on metabolism and blood sugar levels.
